Free Online Digital Marketing Courses with Certificates by Google

Step 1: Create or select your Google Account


  • Start by determining the correct Google account to use for your authentication.
  • If you work for an agency or company, you will need to use your work email address.
  • If you are an individual and are authenticating on your own, then you want to choose a Google Account that you want to bind your authentication personally and publicly.
  • This can be a Gmail account or a Google account that you create from any personal email account.
  • You can easily create a new account at Google Account

Step 2: Join the academy for advertisements

  • When your Google Account is paid, make sure you are signed out of another Google Account.
  • Like some of Google's other products, when you are currently logged into multiple accounts, there may be confusion or login challenges.
  • Click the "Get Started Now" button.
  • You will be presented with the necessary approval of the permissions and terms of service.

  • You will need to plan at least four hours of investment to go through the videos and written material and pass the sample exam questions for each module.
  • If you are managing advertising campaigns, or you have deep exposure, it is still a good idea to go through the module - even if you do it at a fast pace.
  • Sample questions are very helpful - they are written in the same format as they appear in the actual exam.
  • Unless you have previously been certified and / or have a moderate level of advertising experience - don't skip the training material!

Step 4: Pass the Fundamental Examination + one additional exam
